The Yamazaki 12 Years Old opens with aromas of wood and pine, then unfolds to reveal scents of summer fruits and flowers. The taste is phenomenal—imagine blending redcurrants, raspberries, and blueberries into a puree and adding a touch of alcohol. In a word: "succulent."
On the nose, it starts woody and then reveals fruity aromas of peaches, ripe persimmons, and orange marmalade, with hints of butter, custard, caramel, coconut, and vanilla. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, sweet, and full of flavor with fruity notes of red and black currants, raspberries, and blueberries. The finish is pleasantly long, fruity with hints of wood and vanilla.
Note: Purchase is limited to one bottle per customer.
