How to Order, Product Guarantees, Right of Withdrawal—important information for us and every customer.

How to Order

All orders can be placed directly on our website: https://www.whiskyitaly.it. The customer should use our shopping cart and follow the guided process until the final screen, which asks for order confirmation and consent to data processing. The customer can choose, during the ordering process, to register on our website (this way, they won't need to re-enter their data for future orders and will be able to track the order processing stages) or to proceed with the purchase without registration.

The purchase process is divided into 6 steps:

  1. The cart displays the products to be purchased, the quantity, the unit cost, and the total cost including VAT. There is no minimum order requirement.

  2. By clicking the "Check out" button, the customer is asked for shipping and billing information (if the customer is a company). From this screen, the customer can choose to register on the website www.whiskyitaly.it or proceed with the order without registration. Whether or not the customer chooses to register on the site does not affect them in any way.

  3. After entering their data and choosing the registration option, the customer is asked to select the shipping method. For more details, see the "Shipping Methods and Costs" section.

  4. After selecting the shipping method, the customer is asked to choose the payment method (see also Payment Guarantees). The customer has the following options:

   - Payment by credit card.    - Payment via PayPal and PayPal Pay in 3 installments.    - Payment by advance bank transfer.    - Google Pay.

  1. After selecting the payment method, the customer is presented with a summary of their order, including the shipping method, payment type, and total costs. Once everything is checked and correct, the customer can confirm the order and proceed with the selected payment method.

  2. Upon completion of the payment, an email with the order details and a link to track the order status will be sent. If the email is not received, please contact us through Customer Service.

The sale of alcoholic products is reserved for adults only.

Shipping Methods

Delivery times are typically 2-4 days for EU, from the date the products are handed over to the carrier. The availability of individual products and their stock status is provided on the product pages. See also “Shipping Methods and Costs.”
Deliveries will be made via express courier to the address specified by the consumer in the order form.

Billing

As of January 1, 2019, and in accordance with legal requirements, Whisky Italy will issue only electronic invoices, which will be automatically sent to the Revenue Agency’s portal, or a regular receipt. To request an invoice for a purchase, simply fill in the fields for company name, VAT number, and recipient code during the registration of your details. Any orders received without at least one of the required details cannot be invoiced and a regular receipt will be issued. If the buyer is a private individual without a VAT number, they may omit the previously requested details, and Whisky Italy will issue a regular receipt. The invoice will no longer be included in paper form inside the order and will be automatically sent to the Revenue Agency’s management system. For any doubts, please contact our Customer Service.

Product Guarantees

We comply with all legal requirements concerning expiry date checks and the hygienic conditions required for maintenance. For further information, see "Products and Quality."

Payment Guarantees

Credit Cards or PayPal:
Whisky Italy uses a secure SSL system. Additionally, for Mastercard and Visa, the 3D Secure system is used. This procedure is entirely secure and guarantees both the consumer and Whisky Italy. With this system, no one can read the information entered and sent over the internet. Whisky Italy cannot know or record your credit card number or your data, as these are transferred directly, using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, to the Braintree/PayPal or Google Pay site for authorization; Whisky Italy is only informed of the payment authorization granted by PayPal.

Advance Bank Transfer:
In this case, you will make the payment directly through your bank, and no sensitive data will be communicated to Whisky Italy. Using bank transfer payment, the goods will be sent only after we receive confirmation from our bank of the actual receipt of the payment. Normally, the receipt times are about 2 working days.

 

Guarantees on Your Personal Data

In accordance with Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, personal data collected at the time of placing an order and/or issuing an invoice are exempt from the consent of the data subject as they are collected and held solely based on national and European tax obligations and are used solely to ensure the proper fulfillment of obligations arising from the purchase contract. Personal data provided by customers will not be used for commercial communication or market research purposes unless prior consent is given by the customer after reading their rights (Article 7 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003) and the legal information notice (Article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003). Right of Withdrawal

Pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 206/05, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract without penalty and without providing any explanation. To exercise this right, the consumer must send a communication to Whisky Italy S.r.l.s. within 14 days from the date of delivery of the goods. This communication should be sent via email to ordini@whiskyitaly.it or through Customer Service.

The purchased item, in its original condition and intact, must be sent to Whisky Italy S.r.l.s. within 10 working days from the withdrawal notification. Shipping costs will be covered by Whisky Italy in case of shipping errors (e.g., if a different bottle from the one ordered was sent). If the product shipped is correct, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping, until receipt is confirmed at our warehouse, is the consumer's responsibility for damages, theft, or loss of returned goods with uninsured shipping.

Whisky Italy S.r.l.s. will refund the amount already paid by the consumer for the goods and, if applicable, for the related shipping costs as soon as possible and in any case no later than 14 days from the return of the goods, through a refund procedure to the Credit Card, PayPal, or via Bank Transfer.

The right of withdrawal does not apply in the following cases:

  • Absence of integral elements of the product;
  • Damage to the product due to causes other than its transport;
  • Purchase by customers with a VAT number or who cannot be identified as consumers.

 

Orders Cancelled by Whisky Italy

It is possible for Whisky Italy to cancel customer orders. This happens exclusively for three reasons:

  • Violation of our purchasing policies (e.g., the product is limited to one bottle per customer and the customer orders two or more).

  • Inability to ship the package within the mandatory time requested by the customer (e.g., the user requires delivery by 6 PM on the same day or by 10 AM the following day).

  • The purchase must be delivered to a service rather than an individual (e.g., services like Colisexpat for shipping products abroad).

In each of these cases, Whisky Italy reserves the right to cancel the order. If an order is cancelled, the user will be notified, and the refund will be processed within 3 working day.
