Torabhaig is located on the southeastern coast of the Isle of Skye, near the village of Teangue. The distillery is housed in a historic 19th-century stone farmhouse that has been carefully restored to accommodate the distillery and its visitor center.
The Torabhaig Allt Glean Batch Strength is a heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky (78ppm), matured in a mix of casks—80% first-fill ex-bourbon and 20% refill barrels—before being bottled at 61.1% vol., unchill-filtered and in its natural color.

Aroma: The nose opens with an enveloping mix of salty coastal air and smoke, accompanied by bonfire embers mingling with lemon zest and sweet apple. Tobacco, vanilla biscuits, and floral honey emerge, with hints of tropical fruit and peach.
Taste: On the palate, it’s bold, with dry, intense peat taking center stage, followed by an oily, briny texture reminiscent of olives in brine and coastal tar. Yeast, nuts, oily citrus, and a touch of tropical fruit appear, with a dusting of white pepper.
Finish: Of good length, with notes of peaty smoke, sweet fruits like apples and kiwi, and salty sea breeze. Tobacco, vanilla, and a delicate floral sweetness emerge toward the end.
