The Blackpitts area, located right behind the Teeling Distillery, was once Dublin’s industrial district and home to some of the city's largest malting houses. Using peat smoke to dry barley during the malting process, this area was always filled with a distinctive aroma—the classic smoky character that defines this Teeling whiskey.
The Teeling Blackpitts is a triple-distilled peated single malt Irish whiskey, aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Sauternes wine casks (two-thirds bourbon and one-third Sauternes) before being bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered.

Aroma: The peat is subtle on the nose and blends well with fruity notes of pineapple and coconut, followed by caramel, green apple, hints of leather, and vanilla.
Taste: The palate opens with smoky notes of bonfire embers, then transitions to a sweeter profile with apples, cinnamon, chocolate, and malted barley, finished with a sprinkle of black pepper.
Finish: Medium persistence, with notes of spiced oak, apple, pineapple, and bonfire ash, with hints of menthol.
