Springbank’s new “Sherry Wood” series will feature a total of five releases, all aged 10 years with double maturation in sherry casks. In addition to aging in PX, Palo Cortado, and Amontillado casks, the upcoming editions will also include Fino and Manzanilla.
The Springbank 10 Years Old Amontillado Cask, released in 2024, is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for 7 years in refill ex-bourbon barrels and then for 4 years in first-fill ex-Amontillado sherry casks. It was bottled at 55% ABV without chill-filtration and with no added colouring, in a total of 9,900 bottles.

Colore: Deep amber.
Aroma: Sweet with notes of tobacco, almonds, licorice, dark chocolate, and a faint hint of rubber.
Sapore: Intense, with notes of citrus peel, cinnamon, and tobacco, along with maritime hints and a touch of balsamic smoke.
