Port Askaig is the name of the homonymous village and port on the Isle of Islay. The village is located on the northeastern coast of the island and serves as the main connection between Islay and the island of Jura. Just over 500 meters to the north lies the Caol Ila distillery.
The Port Askaig 17 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured in American oak casks, created from small, highly selected batches. It is bottled at 50.5% ABV, unchill-filtered, and with its natural color, in a total of 9,000 bottles. The distillery remains unknown, but unconfirmed rumors suggest it may be Caol Ila.
