The name Ledaig (pronounced "Le-chig") means "safe harbor" in Gaelic and refers to the original name of the distillery. This whisky is known for its intense peatiness, in contrast to the more delicate profile of Tobermory.

Color: Amber gold.
Nose: Opens with intense notes of ash and smoldering tar, with black pepper and licorice in the background. A buttery sweetness emerges, alongside orange zest, sea spray, and cloves.
Palate: Bold, oily, and smoky. Burnt lemons, pear, and cherry blend with intense spicy notes of cardamom and raisins.
Finish: Exceptionally long, briny, and smoky. Ashes mix with a touch of iodine, while licorice and red fruits leave a lingering bittersweet echo.
