Oops… we did it again. After our Claxton’s Caol Ila and last year’s exceptional Williamson (Laphroaig), this time, we ventured to the far north of Scotland to select our latest bottling. As always, we aimed for something rare and unique, and when this opportunity arose, we couldn’t let it pass us by.
Let yourself be transported to the rugged and windswept Orkney Islands, where only two whisky distilleries remain active: Scapa—which is not our case—and… Highland Park!
The Orkney (Highland Park) 10 Years Old is a lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on the Orkney Islands on September 19, 2010. It matured for 11 years in a single refill ex-bourbon barrel before being bottled on November 16, 2021, at cask strength (54.2% ABV), unchill-filtered and with no added coloring, in just 120 hand-numbered bottles.

Color: Pale straw.
Aroma: Rich with notes of aromatic smoke, citrus, ginger, acacia honey, and delicate herbal hints.
Taste: Creamy with layers of honey, ginger, white pepper, pineapple, lemon zest, and heather, with undertones of sweet peat.
Finish: Long and rounded, featuring vanilla, citrus, ginger, cinnamon, and grilled pineapple, with a subtle touch of peaty smoke.
