Miltonduff Distillery is located about 10 kilometers southwest of Elgin, in the Speyside region of Scotland. Founded in 1824 by Andrew Peary and Robert Bain, it was built on the site of an old mill once belonging to the Pluscarden Abbey, a location specifically chosen for the high-quality water from a nearby spring. Today, Miltonduff is owned by Chivas Brothers, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. In 2022, an £88 million investment was announced to expand the distillery, aiming to implement more efficient and environmentally friendly production methods.
Miltonduff 13 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky aged for 13 years in a first-fill ex-Oloroso sherry cask before being bottled at its natural strength (53% ABV), unchill-filtered, and in its natural color, with only 324 bottles produced.

Color: Bright amber.
Nose: Opens with sweet aromas of plum jam, raisins, and black cherry, then shifts to more mineral notes, coffee, and white chocolate.
Palate: A robust and enveloping texture, dominated by deep notes of red fruits and plums. Warming spices emerge, followed by toffee and orange.
Finish: Good length, with the initial sweetness lingering alongside hints of tannins, a touch of tobacco, cardamom, caramel, toffee, and hazelnuts.
