Founded relatively late compared to other distilleries, in 1971, Mannochmore is owned by Diageo. The distillery shares some of its facilities with the nearby Glenlossie, allowing for efficient management of resources and operations. Although Mannochmore is not among the most famous distilleries for single malts, it has earned a good reputation among whisky enthusiasts, especially with releases from independent bottlers and special labels like the "Flora and Fauna" series.
The Mannochmore 16 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky, aged for 16 years in a single ex-sherry Oloroso butt before being bottled at its natural strength (54.7% ABV), unchill filtered, and with its natural color in a total of 424 bottles.

Aroma: On the nose, it begins with abundant fruit notes accompanied by dark cherry chocolate, leather jacket, barley malt, plums, and a slight floral hint (rose petals).
Flavor: On the palate, the whisky reveals layers of juicy raisins and candied orange, with notes of ginger, cherry, cola, nutmeg, hazelnuts, and orange, accented by licorice.
Finish: The finish is of medium persistence, featuring anise notes that blend with dark fruits and honey. The depths of the sherry shine through, with notes of raisins and dark chocolate, accompanied by a slight hint of coffee.
