Macduff Distillery, founded in 1960, is located on the eastern coast of the Highlands, near the town of Banff and not far from the mouth of the River Deveron. Macduff is known for producing whisky marketed under the name The Deveron, a single malt Scotch appreciated for its smooth, fruity, and accessible character. Although less well-known than other Scottish distilleries, Macduff has earned a solid reputation for its balanced and enjoyable whiskies, primarily used in blends.

The Macduff 13 Years Old by Valinch & Mallet is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2011 and aged in a single ex-Tokaji wine cask for 13 years before being bottled at its natural strength (52.8% ABV), unchill filtered and with no added coloring, in a total of 300 bottles.
