Located on the southern coast of the island of Islay, just steps from Port Ellen, Laphroaig is one of the most famous and beloved distilleries in the world. During the American Prohibition era, the distillery was even one of the few allowed to sell its single malt as medicine!
The Laphroaig PX Cask Triple Matured is a no-age-statement single malt peated Scotch whisky aged in three different types of casks: ex-bourbon, quarter cask, and ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks (from which it takes the name "PX").

Aroma: The sherry aromas blend with Laphroaig's signature peaty and maritime character, with notes of licorice, Christmas cake, cinnamon, and hints of nutmeg and walnuts.
Palate: Full-bodied and spicy, with notes of seaweed peat and medicinal smoke, raisins, cherries, and cinnamon with hints of vanilla.
Finish: Good length, slightly dry and spicy with notes of red fruit, sweet wood, and endless smoky peat.
