“Lore” in Gaelic means transmission—of a skill or tradition passed down through the teaching of trades and crafts from generation to generation. Lore means Laphroaig: over 200 years of work, teaching, and knowledge in distillation and the creation of single malt Scotch whisky handed down from person to person.
The Laphroaig The Cask Lore is a peated single malt Scotch whisky that joins the distillery’s classic range. It is a NAS (No Age Statement) expression, though it contains whiskies aged between 7 and 21 years, matured in a mix of first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, quarter casks, and Oloroso sherry casks.
