The Laphroaig Four Oak is a peated single malt Scotch whisky whose uniqueness lies in its maturation. As the name suggests, this whisky is aged in a selection of four different types of casks: ex-bourbon barrels, quarter casks, virgin American white oak casks, and European oak casks that previously held sherry. The exact length of time spent in each cask is not specified, but Laphroaig refers to this particular process as a “fusion of flavours.”
Laphroaig Four Oak is a whisky released for the travel retail market and is bottled at 40% ABV in a 1-litre format.

Aroma: Classic medicinal peat notes from the distillery blend with vanilla, coffee, and dried fruit, accompanied by hints of dried flowers and cork.
Palate: Once again, peat takes the lead, followed by toasted oak, malted barley, vanilla, and licorice, with hints of ginger and campfire embers.
Finish: Good length, slightly dry and spicy with notes of salted licorice, dried fruit, oak, and peaty smoke.
