Active since 2014, the distillery is owned by the Wemyss family, well-regarded as independent bottlers. Kingsbarns is located just outside St. Andrews in Scotland's Lowlands and uses only locally sourced barley from the Fife region, also known as the "Kingdom of Fife" by Scots.
The Kingsbarns Balcomie is a single malt Scotch whisky aged exclusively in American oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks sourced from Jerez and selected by Isabella Wemyss. This whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, with no added coloring and non-chill filtered.
