Founded in 1872 in Campbeltown, the distillery remained in operation until 1925, when all malt whisky stocks were sold and all equipment removed. However, the surviving buildings were purchased by Hedley Wright, owner of Springbank Distillery and a descendant of William Mitchell, in 2000. He renovated and reopened Glengyle Distillery in 2004.
The Kilkerran Cask Strength 8 Years Old Sherry Cask is a slightly peated single malt Scotch whisky, aged for at least 8 years in casks that previously contained only sherry and bottled at cask strength at 57.5% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no added coloring.
Note: Purchase is limited to one bottle per customer.
