At last, the wait is over. Following the distillery's reopening in 2004 and the delightful "Work in Progress" releases since 2007, it’s time to welcome the first 12-year-old release, which will serve as the foundation for Glengyle distillery in the years to come.
The story of what many consider "the newest, old distillery in Campbeltown" began in 1872 when it was founded by William Mitchell. For more about its fascinating history, click here to visit our description page.
The Kilkerran 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky crafted from a combination of casks, consisting of 70% first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and 30% ex-sherry casks. This whisky is produced with a peat level of 10 ppm.
The bottle comes without a cardboard box, a decision made by the distillery to reduce environmental impact.
