Kilchoman’s single cask releases now have a new identity: the Italian Cities series, dedicated to Italy’s major cities. The second edition pays homage to Rome, featuring iconic symbols like the Colosseum and St. Peter’s Dome on its label.
The Kilchoman Single Cask Italian Cities Rome is a heavily peated (50ppm) single malt Scotch whisky. Distilled on November 26, 2016, it was aged for around five years in a Buffalo Trace ex-bourbon cask, followed by a three-year secondary maturation in a cask that previously held Port wine. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.9% ABV, it is non-chill-filtered and presented in its natural color, with a total release of 267 bottles.

Aroma: Vanilla and caramel lead with robust marine peat smoke and iodine, followed by BBQ meat and hints of licorice.
Taste: Notes of red fruits emerge, complemented by licorice, dark chocolate, and ginger, with floral hints and lingering peat smoke.
Finish: Long, with red fruit, candied orange, black pepper, and dark chocolate perfectly interwoven with rich peat smoke.
