The Kilchoman 100% Islay 14th Edition is crafted from a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks in a 9:1 ratio, aged for a minimum of 9 years. This 2024 release uses Publican barley grown on Kilchoman’s farm, which is malted directly at the distillery. The malting process is highly artisanal, resulting in peat levels that vary slightly, though the distillery estimates an average of approximately 20ppm.
The Kilchoman 100% Islay is the only release from the distillery that exclusively uses barley from its own farm. The whisky is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered, and without added color.
