Located near Fukiagehama Beach, this distillery began whisky production only in 2017. Despite being one of the youngest in the industry, it stands out for the quality of its spirits. The two-story distillery building offers spectacular ocean views, a cozy bar, a souvenir shop, and three stills with differently shaped necks, designed to create various whisky styles.
The label of this whisky depicts the sunset viewable from the Mellow Bar at the Kanosuke distillery.
The Kanosuke Single Malt is a Japanese whisky distilled exclusively from malted barley, including a small portion of peated barley. It is aged for a minimum of three years in American white oak casks and barrels that previously held Mellowed Kozuru shochu. This whisky is bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration.

Color: Light honey.
Aroma: Aromatic on the nose with dominant notes of oak and toffee, followed by vanilla and honey intertwined with ripe summer fruits such as apple and banana. More exotic hints of yuzu, lychee, and tea emerge, with a subtle trace of charcoal smoke lingering in the background.
Taste: On the palate, there is a beautiful balance between citrus freshness and malty sweetness. Bitter grapefruit, lemon zest, honey, and ginger mix with sponge cake notes, hints of almonds, and a delicate touch of peat smoke.
Finish: Medium persistence, smooth and slightly spicy. Caramel blends with dark chocolate and toasted dried fruits, while a gentle veil of smoke lingers until the end.
