Third and definitely the most unique of the three releases in the Travel Retail series ("The Accord" and "The Elementa" being the other two), The Tribute is a batch of Glenmorangie distilled with the use of peated barley. A practice no longer used by the distillery, but with this release, they want to pay tribute to the old Glenmorangie whiskies that had a slight level of peatiness.
The Glenmorangie 16 Years Old – The Tribute is a peated single malt Scotch whisky, released in a limited edition, aged for 16 years in selected American oak ex-bourbon casks before being bottled at a classic 43% ABV.

Color: Amber.
Aroma: The peat is light on the nose, with notes of vanilla, blooming meadow, green grass, and citrus, all wrapped in a light smoke.
Flavor: On the palate, it welcomes us with vanilla, followed by fruit (lemon and pear), toasted almonds, and ginger, with hints of peat smoke and tobacco.
Finish: Of medium persistence, the peat is subtle but present, with notes of citrus, dark chocolate, ginger, and hints of toffee and vanilla.
