Founded in 1824 by George Smith, Glenlivet is located near Ballindalloch in Scotland’s Moray region. It has operated almost continuously since its founding. The distillery uses water from Josie's Well and Blairfindy Well and is equipped with 14 copper stills (7 for the first distillation of 15,000 liters and 7 for the second distillation of 10,000 liters), with an annual production capacity of 10.5 million liters of pure alcohol.
The Glenlivet 16 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled on August 15, 2006, and aged for 16 years exclusively in a first-fill ex-sherry hogshead cask. It was bottled exclusively for the Pot Still Festival on August 30, 2022, at 60% ABV, non-chill filtered, and at its natural color, with a total of 694 bottles produced.

Color: Pale amber.
Aroma: The nose opens with aromas of red fruit, raisins, and figs, complemented by rich notes of dark chocolate and toasted almonds, with spicy hints of cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg.
Taste: On the palate, it strikes a fine balance between sweetness and spice. Soft notes of chocolate, caramel, and dried fruit blend with delicate hints of orange zest, dates, and a touch of oak.
Finish: Long and enveloping, with lingering notes of sweet spices, dark chocolate, and a subtle leather undertone. An elegant and refined finish, where the richness of sherry and spices slowly fades.
