Glendalough, which translates to "the valley of the two lakes," is one of Ireland’s most beautiful and visited locations. Just south of Dublin, the Wicklow Mountains are renowned for their natural beauty and are also known as "the garden of Ireland." Glendalough is also famous for its 6th-century monastic settlement, founded by Saint Kevin, whose image appears on every Glendalough whiskey label. According to legend, he brought the art of distillation to the area.
The Glendalough Single Cask Grand Cru is an Irish whiskey initially aged in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a Grand Cru French red wine cask from Burgundy (Pinot Noir). Each release in this series consists of 399 bottles at 42% ABV.
