The distillery is a small gem of Speyside. It was built in 1967 and designed by the famous distillery architect Delmé-Evans. In 2017, the ownership passed to The GlenAllachie Distillers Co. of Billy Walker, and under the new ownership, the brand began to establish itself as a cult product among enthusiasts, thanks to Billy's expert guidance and experience, as well as the high-quality releases.
The GlenAllachie 10 Years Old Cask Strength, here in its eight version (batch number 8), is a single malt Scotch whisky aged for at least 10 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez ex-sherry casks, Oloroso ex-sherry casks, ex-Rioja wine casks, and a small amount of virgin oak casks (new oak casks). Finally, it is bottled at its natural strength (57.2% ABV) with no added coloring and unchill-filtered.
