Glen Ord Distillery is one of the largest whisky distilleries in Scotland, founded in 1838, with an annual production of around 11 million liters of alcohol. Located near the village of Muir of Ord in the Scottish Highlands, it is owned by the giant Diageo, which uses most of the whisky produced at Glen Ord for its group blends.
The Glen Ord 8 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky aged for 8 years in a single ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry cask before being bottled at its natural strength (58.6% ABV), unchill filtered, and with its natural color in a total of 304 bottles.
