The Glen Garioch distillery, founded in 1797 by brothers John and Alexander Manson, is one of the oldest operational distilleries in Scotland. Located in the historic town of Oldmeldrum, near Aberdeen, it is also the most easterly distillery in the country. The name Glen Garioch (pronounced "Geery") means Valley of Garioch.
The Glen Garioch 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2011 and aged for at least 12 years exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before being bottled in 2024 at 48.2% ABV, unchill-filtered and with its natural color.
