The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club had long wanted to create a whiskey called Motor Oil, jokingly imagining it as an extremely high-proof spirit—painful to drink due to the alcohol content and excellent as jet fuel. Fortunately, Paul Hletko, Master Distiller at FEW Spirits, guided them in the right direction, resulting in a truly intriguing American whiskey.
The FEW Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is a blend of three whiskeys: two FEW bourbons—one finished in ex-rum casks and the other in ex-vermouth casks—combined with a mesquite-smoked wheat whiskey. This blend is bottled at 50.5% ABV (101 proof), non-chill filtered, and with no added color.

Color: Dark mahogany.
Aroma: A complex and intriguing bouquet. It opens with the characteristic spice of a rye whiskey, enhanced by hints of cinnamon and burnt orange peel. This is followed by sweet tropical fruit and vanilla, accompanied by delicate herbal nuances. In the background, notes of cherry emerge.
Taste: Smooth and well-balanced on the palate, with no harsh burn. The aromas carry through, blending herbal and mild bitter tones with floral hints and a pronounced toasted wood presence. Cherry and brown sugar notes appear, along with a subtle clove accent and a light smokiness.
Finish: Medium-long persistence. It begins with sweetness and fruity notes before evolving into more bitter spices. Hints of milk chocolate and slightly bitter toffee emerge, followed by smoky notes and echoes of charred wood, reminiscent of barbecue coals.
