Elijah Craig is an iconic name in American whiskey, renowned for its high-quality Bourbons. The brand is produced by Heaven Hill Distillery, one of the largest distilleries in the United States, located in Bardstown, Kentucky, known as the “Bourbon Capital of the World.”
The whiskey is named after Elijah Craig, an 18th-century Baptist preacher often credited with inventing Bourbon whiskey. Legend has it that he discovered the aging process in charred oak barrels, which give Bourbon its signature flavors and amber color.
Elijah Craig Straight Rye is a rye whiskey crafted with a mash bill of 51% rye, 35% corn, and 14% malted barley. This whiskey is aged exclusively in new charred American oak barrels before being bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) without the addition of colorings.
