The Dalwhinnie distillery is located in the Highland region, just a few kilometers from the Cairngorm mountains, and is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland. In 1994, this remote location was officially recorded as the coldest inhabited place in all of Great Britain. The distillery draws its water from the Lochan an Doire Uaine (Gaelic for “Lake of the green grove”), located 600 meters up in the Drumochter Hills. The Dalwhinnie 15 Years Old is an elegant, smooth, and fruity single malt.
