Croftengea Double Finish - Cask Craft (Murray McDavid)
The Cask Craft series from Murray McDavid impresses us with its unique finishes, just like this Loch Lomond, which has rested for a few months in ex-Porto and Madeira wine casks.

The "Cask Craft" series by independent bottler Murray McDavid is a range of single malts from all over Scotland, expertly matured in a variety of different cask types that showcase a refined balance between wood and spirit.
For this bottling, we have a Croftengea, a single malt from Loch Lomond, with a peated character, fresh fruit, and creamy sweetness. It has been finished in two types of casks from Portugal—ex-Madeira and ex-Porto barriques. These casks imparted an opulence of red fruit notes, hazelnuts, and spicy wood to the spirit.
The Croftengea Double Finish is a peated single malt Scotch whisky, aged in selected oak casks and finished for several months in ex-Madeira and ex-Porto wine barriques before being bottled at 44.5% ABV in its natural color.
