Founded in 1779 on the Scottish island of Islay, Bowmore Distillery is one of the oldest in the country still in operation. Located on the shores of Loch Indaal, Bowmore is renowned for its peated whiskies with an elegant and balanced character, combining the smoky notes typical of Islay with fruity and maritime nuances. The distillery still employs traditional methods, including partially hand-worked malt on malting floors and aging in the legendary Vault No. 1, built just a few meters from the sea.
The Bowmore 19 Years Old Pinot Noir Cask Finish is a peated single malt Scotch whisky, initially matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in French ex-Pinot Noir wine casks before being bottled at a classic 43% ABV.

Color: Caramel amber.
Aroma: Opens with a rich and enveloping sweetness—coffee candies, dark chocolate, and ripe plums mingle with dried figs, dates, and candied orange peel. As it breathes, a maritime element emerges—wet stones, briny hints, and a light smokiness that enriches the aroma.
Palate: The entry is sweet and spicy—chocolate, coffee, and candied citrus open the show, followed by notes of red fruits (stewed plums, raisins) and spice reminiscent of black pepper and ginger. There's also an unexpected vegetal and mineral streak, with nuances of unripe mango, honey, and a slight tannic note revealing the red wine cask influence. The peat is present but restrained, in balance with the fruity character and warm spice from the French oak.
Finale: Medium in length, with notes of clove, black pepper, a briny touch, citrus peel, and gentle smoke. The wine influence returns as a shadow of ripe red fruits and dry tannins, never overpowering.
