The distillery is located in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Perthshire, and is one of the key malts in the famous Bell’s blend. Blair Athol malt is beloved by enthusiasts for its fruity and elegant flavor.
The Blair Athol 12 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled on July 10, 2009, and aged for 12 years in a single refill hogshead before being bottled at cask strength (56.6% ABV), unchill-filtered and at its natural color in a total of 279 bottles.
Chapter 6: The piper was the best in the country, his bagpipes, though crudely made, played magnificently. The cheerful sound that came from them even stopped the crows from cawing. Never before had anyone heard such joyful melodies.
