Balvenie 14 Years Old Caribbean Cask is matured for 14 years in American oak barrels and then finished in casks that previously contained rum. To create this distinctive single malt, David Stewart, Balvenie's Malt Master, filled American oak barrels with a blend of selected rums from the West Indies. Once the casks reached the desired maturation level, the rum was replaced with the 14-year-old Balvenie, allowing the wood to add its final touches.
