This Arran is part of the Warehouse No.1 series. Warehouse No. 1 is located at Dalswinton Bond in the Lowlands and features the highest quality releases from the independent bottler Claxton's. Quarter casks hold about 50 liters, typically a quarter of the size of standard barrels (180–200 liters). The smaller capacity is offset by greater contact between wood and liquid, which accelerates the whisky's maturation.
The Arran 10 Years Old is a peated single malt Scotch whisky distilled on October 24, 2011, and aged for at least 10 years in a single ex-bourbon barrel (#C22054) before being bottled at cask strength (56.3% ABV), without chill filtering and with no added coloring, with a total of 203 bottles produced.
