Arran’s single malts are usually fresh, sweet, and unpeated, but the Machrie Moor series is the exception. These whiskies are bold and peaty, with the peat sourced from the Machrie Moor itself—one of the island’s oldest and most mysterious peat bogs. This single malt is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled at cask strength (56.2% ABV), without chill filtration or added color. The peat level of Machrie Moor is 20ppm.
