The Signature Series is a limited collection consisting of four exclusive bottlings of Arran Single Malts. This selection celebrates the variety and unique character of the island's whisky, reflecting the core values that define the Lochranza distillery.
This particular bottling offers an opportunity to explore the more heavily peated side of Arran, where the peat level reaches 42 ppm, adding a smoky and bold dimension to the character of this single malt.
The Quarter Casks used for this edition have an interesting story. They come from the artisanal Koval distillery in Chicago, where they are custom-built with a 115-litre capacity and used to mature Bourbon. Once their journey is complete, they arrive in Lochranza to breathe new life into our single malts.
The Arran 11 Years Old Barrel Bonfire - Signature is the second release in the series. This heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 2012 and initially matured for 5 and a half years in ex-bourbon oak barrels. It was then transferred to 115-litre Quarter Casks from the Koval distillery, where it spent another 5 and a half years before being bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with its natural color, in a total of 14,822 bottles.

Nose: Sweet smoke greets us on the nose, with notes of cotton candy, caramel, orange zest, and vanilla.
Taste: Fresh and herbal on the palate; the peat adds mineral notes, while the cask contributes tropical fruit, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon.
Finish: The peat smoke is more pronounced here, with notes of vanilla, black tea, cinnamon, and toasted oak.
