The distillery, located in the remote and wild Ardnamurchan peninsula in the western Highlands of Scotland, is one of the most recent and innovative distilleries. Founded in 2014 by Adelphi Distillery Ltd, known for its independent whisky selections, Ardnamurchan is renowned for its sustainable and traditional approach to whisky production.
The Ardnamurchan AD/Paul Launois is an unpeated single malt Scotch whisky created from a selection of just 10 ex-bourbon casks. The spirit from these casks was transferred for finishing in French oak ex-Champagne Paul Launois casks before being bottled in 2024 at 57.3% vol., unchill-filtered, and in its natural color, with a total release of 3,198 bottles.
