A large and beautiful Victorian distillery, Ardmore is a rarity in terms of style, producing peated Highland malt. For years, it was the only distillery in the region making peated whisky. Today, other distilleries have joined in, either producing this type of whisky occasionally or in part, but Ardmore remains the only Highland distillery exclusively producing peated whisky.
The Ardmore 13 Years Old by Valinch & Mallet is a medium-peated single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2009 and aged for 13 years in a single ex-bourbon cask. It was bottled in 2022 at its natural strength (52.4% ABV), unchill filtered and with no added coloring, in only 246 bottles.
