The Aberfeldy distillery, founded in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons Ltd., is located on the eastern edge of Aberfeldy, on the southern banks of the upper River Tay in the Scottish Highlands.
The distillery uses water from the Pitilie Burn to produce its single malts, known for their distinctive fruity character and honeyed richness, offering a smooth and approachable taste. Its core range includes Aberfeldy 12-Year-Old, 16-Year-Old, and 21-Year-Old expressions.
The Aberfeldy 10 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 2013 and aged for 10 years exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled in 2024 at 48.2% ABV, unchill-filtered and with its natural color.

Color: Bright amber.
Aroma: The nose opens with a strong sherried presence, followed by caramel and a fresh fruity acidity. Notes of red fruits—raspberry and cherry—emerge, accompanied by hints of chocolate drops and subtle spice undertones of turmeric and cinnamon.
Taste: On the palate, the initial sweetness of caramel and malt gives way to flavors of chocolate and cherry, with nuances of wood and hazelnut.
Finish: Medium in length, distinguished by a well-balanced dryness where a touch of spice, such as ginger, blends with hints of wood and hazelnut chocolate, leaving a final whisper of cherry.
